Not alone
After everything, it has been a journey of self discovery that I wouldn’t trade for anything. More than anyone, I would like to thank my wife, Elizabeth Marie, for her steadfast and untiring support, patience, and in a way re-raising me. Until the end, she encouraged me in every way and looked the other way when I really couldn’t afford to take button hunting trips. Simply put, I couldn’t done this without her. Thanks Liz!
Also, my parents Andres and Sonia, they are to blame for the person that I am. My brothers, Andres and Hector, also provided encouragement and moral support.
The Button Mafia
Friends, are good to have. I always said that I would rather have a few friends that I could count with one hand than a thousand acquaintances thus, I would like to thank the following people who are now known as the Button Mafia:
Mr. Ebed Silva for being my partner in crime in all. From traveling, relic hunting trips, and just about everything. In good and bad deals, he was always there. He provided healthy criticism with a touch of sarcastic humor second to none when I would explain my button theories. I couldn’t have done it with out this true friend. His divine talent of dealing with people and public relations came in handy hundreds of times.
Mr. Rod Bates for his supply of buttons, taking advantage of his experience, access to his private collection, and strong encouragement with a good twist of humor.
Mr. Manuel Hinojosa for his encouragement and unwavering access to his private collections.
Mr. Maximiliano Ferrer Arguieta for his patience with me and good times. Also, his son Max for his patience with me.
