BULLETS
The Imperial Army was equipped with the best ammunition
Europe could provide. Unfortunately for them, the proximity to the border
provided Escobedo’s army with the better ammunition. The influx of surplus
ammunition from the American civil war was making its way in larger numbers to
Mexico. This is probably the only battlefield where so many different kinds of
ammunition can be found. The amount of both old and modern ammunition is
astonishing. In a way, they were the best the old and new world could provide.
Please pay special attention to the spent bullets, a bloody affair.
